![]() ![]() I received a black version of this printer which blends a nice mixture of matte and glossy black surfaces, the approach they have taken with this design allows a bottom feeding paper drawer from where the paper beings its journey, turning over itself out into a loading area where it either shifts over to print on the second side or parks up for completion, in front of this area a large touchscreen with soft keys flanking that only appear when they are required. I struggle to envisage a situation that might damage the printer in transit short of dropping it from a great height. ![]() Cocooned in polystyrene and closed up with several strips of tape was the device itself, plastic over the touch screen and a nice sheet over the scanner glass to protect whilst in transit. Along with that, a set of start-up cartridges which as with most manufacturers are a lower capacity to those you purchase, a software and manual CD and cables for power and fax. After lugging it across the street (Lift with your knees!) unpacking the printer revealed several pieces of documentation with reference to setting up, using the printer, the ink services and warranty information. ![]() The printer comes well packaged in a large and very hefty box, it had been delivered to a neighbour by Fed Ex and they hadn’t moved it from where the delivery man had left it when I arrived.
